Qui-Gon Jin Gets His Own Fan-made Spin-Off Trailer

Now that Lucasfilm is into the business of making spinoff films for the growing Star Wars film franchise, fans have begun to set their sights on movie-worthy origin stories, and the latest one involves the Star Wars prequel’s Jedi Master Qui-Gon Gin.

Now that Lucasfilm has successfully pulled off its first Star Wars spinoff, Rogue: One A Star Wars Story and is busy working on the Han Solo standalone, fans are placing their bets on the spin-off to follow. While many are eager to see one for Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, other’s want to see Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jin get his own standalone and a new fan-made video byFilminick makes gives us a glimpse of what the film could look like if it were made.

Mixing video and audio clips from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,Silence and a fan film of Darth Maul, filminick’s fan trailer draws in a lot of emotion as it proves that a film focused on Qui-Gon Jinn would certainly rile up Star Wars fans. The trailer would have been more interesting if Filminick had tried to take his own shots, but this one works too.   

The Han Solo standalone is set to premiere on the big screen on May 25, 2018.
