Kong is back! But of course, he's not the only monster on Skull Island.
On Wednesday night, Jimmy Kimmel Live revealed the first trailer for Kong: Skull Island. Based on this trailer, it looks like this could be the entry to Legendary Pictures interconnected monster universe.
Kong may be the king of Skull Island, but in addition to a colony of natives, there other monstrous creatures like spiders and underground ancient lizard monsters with skull faces and arms. Watch the trailer below:
Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (You’re the Worst), the movie is a retelling of King Kong’s origin story. The film is set in the 70s and follows a group of soldiers and scientists who are sent on an expedition to explore an island that was recently discovered in the South Pacific.
Kong: Skull Island will hit theaters on March 10, 2017.
