Star Wars Battlefront 2 Mod Brings Pope John Paul II to the Game

What if Pope John Paul II was a part of the Star Wars universe? He'd probably be a badass Jedi, and that's exactly how mod creator xD0IT depicted the late pope in his modifications for EA's action shooter Star Wars Battlefront II. 

Thanks to xD0IT's work, the recently released character model for Kylo Ren can now be skinned to look like Pope John Paul III, who served as the Pope of the Catholic church from 1978 until his death in 2005. The mod includes three different skins, Star Cards, a custom portrait, and a yellow lightsaber. 

The mod creator didn't say why he paid homage to Pope John Paul II, and the mod description simply stated:  “Here, in this town, in Wadowice everything has started.” Wadowice, Poland, is the birthplace of the man born as Karol Józef Wojtyła who later became Pope John Paul II at the age of 58."
