Alita: Battle Angel Featurette Reveals James Cameron's Concept Art

Alita: Battle Angel turned out to be an awesome science fiction film even though its domestic box office performance was disappointing. Hopefully, a sequel will be released, and while we wait to see how things will play out, you can watch the new featurette that 20th Century Fox just released online, and it features director Robert Rodriguez and producer James Cameron talking about how they brought Yukito Kishiro's classic cyberpunk manga, Gunnm, to the big screen.

Watch the featurette above.

Before Rodriguez was hired to direct the Alita movie, Cameron started developing the project 15 years ago and this video shows some of Cameron's original concept artworks.

The video also features some commentary from concept design supervisor Dylan Cole, who talks about the art that came from a pitch reel in 2005, calling it "kind of legendary".

Alita: Battle Angel will be available on digital on July 9, and will be released on Blu-Ray, DVD, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-Ray 3D on July 23.
