Honest Trailers: The Incredibles Doesn’t Need an R-Rating to be Violent

The Incredibles 2 is set to come out within the week, and Screen Junkies has come up with their latest Honest Trailer to poke fun at the 2004 original. What’s weird is, the film has been pointed out to be oddly violent despite its PG rating.

So cheer up Logan and turn that frown upside down Rorschach, cause The Incredibles proves you don’t have to be R-rated to be a violent angsty superhero movie with a  super-high body count, attempted suicide, heroes threatening to murder innocent people, grown men shooting at little kids, and little kids killing grown men.

Of course, The Incredibles is still considered to be one of the best superhero movies ever made. Not only does it have fabulous homages to the golden age of superheroes, but it also gives a very realistic look into the dynamic of a family via the Parrs.

Reviews for The Incredibles 2 are looking great as well. After director Brad Bird’s supposed misstep with Tomorrowland, everyone is keen to see his name coming back to the big screen. Let’s hope he’s eager to sign up with Marvel for a Fantastic Four movie done right.

The Incredibles 2 hits theaters June 13.
