Honest Trailers: A Wrinkle in Time is Disney on LSD

Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time was a flop at the box office, and of course it would only be a matter of time before Screen Junkies made fun of it with their Honest Trailers series. Check out what they thoughtof Ava DuVernay’s adaptation of the classic novel by Madeleine L’Engle.

Enjoy the simple story of a girl with low self-esteem finding her missing father and learning to believe in herself, while at the same time director Ava DuVernay pours LSD directly into both your eyeballs in a bonkers mix of grounded, straight-forward storytelling and Reese Witherspoon transforming into a giant flying leaf Pokemon.

Though Disney has been pumping out hit after hit, A Wrinkle in Time came out to be a box office flop. The movie was critically panned, and it ended up stumbling on its release. Disney shouldn’t be too bummed about it though. The last attempt at A Wrinkle in Time didn’t do so well either, and there’s always the chance to reboot again in the next few years.

For now, Ava DuVernay is attached to direct a New Gods movie for DC. She apparently asked them to give her job. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t even know that anyone was asking for a New Gods movie at all.

No release date has been set for DCEU’s New Gods.
