Honest Trailer for A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place was a sleeper hit that came out earlier this year ; and for a film about people keeping quiet, it sure generated a lot of talk among moviegoers. Naturally, Screen Junkies has released their inevitable Honest Trailer for the movie.

Explore the near future of A Quiet Place on one hand, it’s a dystopia where blind aliens kill anyone who makes a sound, but on the other, it’s every Dad’s paradise; where a father of three children can finally find some peace and quiet, with plenty of time for fishin’, farm-to-table meals, and a man-cave full of TVs that your kids are not allowed to enter.

I really found it fascinating how the film was able to showcase just how important sound was to society, and it’s impressive when you watch it in a theater where everything is deathly quiet when the film has no sound. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think you can enjoy this film the same way in your living room than if you watch it in a nice, sound-proofed theater.

For now, it looks like A Quiet Place is gearing up for a sequel, which I think is kind of weird. The movie felt nice and self-contained already. Director John Krasinski did say, though, that he was thinking that the next movie could focus on another gang of survivors.
