Gotham City Sirens Gets A Cool Fanmade Trailer

David Ayer may not be coming back for the Suicide Squad sequel, but he is (allegedly) working on a script for the all-female DCEU film, Gotham City Sirens. Though that movie still looks like it won’t happen for a while, that hasn’t stopped a Redditor from posting this cool fanmade trailer for GCS.

The clip borrows heavily from the trailer for Arkham City, and has Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, with Thandie Newton as Catwoman, and Madelaine Petsch as Poison Ivy. It even follows this trend where they take an upbeat pop song and make it all dark and broody.

After Suicide Squad and Bright ended up so weird, I’m actually starting to get concerned about how good Gotham City Sirens will actually be. I kind of understand that Ayer is pretty great when it comes to visuals, but narrative-wise, his movies could use some work.

We still have no idea when Warner Bros plans to pump out their next DCEU movie. With Aquaman being the only DC film set to come out in 2018, I’m hoping that they’re taking the proper precautions this time around in building up their cinematic universe. Marvel movies are fine by me, but I want DC to bring something a bit different to the table.

No release date has been announced for Gotham City Sirens.
