Get Hyped For Wonder Woman By Watching Honest Trailer For The God-awful Catwoman

Wonder Woman hits theaters in just a few days, and it’s a pretty big deal because it will be the first modern superhero movie helmed by a woman. Screenjunkies, as always, has decided to poke fun at another female-lead movie that was released way back in 2004 — Halle Berry’s Catwoman.

Catwoman is probably one of the worst superhero movies ever made, and it was made during a time where the genre was still trying to find its roots. Instead of having famous Catwoman Selina Kyle taking center stage, the movie introduces us to Patience Phillips, an awkward graphic designer who dies and is resurrected by cats.

With her newfound cat powers, Catwoman would then have to fight the evil Sharon Stone and her people-killing make-up.

I remember seeing the movie as a little kid and already thinking that it was terrible; that’s a lot considering that I thought Space Jam was the best movie ever at that age. Though Halle Berry seems to have put the role behind her, Catwoman still manages to show its status in pop-culture, and the suit has been referenced from movies like The Hangover to shows like The Big Bang Theory.

After the all-time low that Catwoman put female-lead superhero movies in, a lot of hopes are riding on Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman to get studios interested in women-lead blockbusters once more.

Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2.
