Force Friday’s Rogue One Toys Previewed in Final Go Rogue Animated Short

Are you excited to see some of the new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story LEGO coming on Force Friday? The newest animated tie-in, Star Wars: Go Rogue has reached its final chapter, and it gives a glimpse of some of these toys.

“In the exciting conclusion, the Rebels must rely on their wits, courage, and building skills to rescue one of their own from Director Krennic and escape with the LEGO building instructions. The fate of the Galaxy hangs in the balance.”

Seen in the video below, the latest episode shows the final showdown between the Rebels and the Empire in humorous fashion. Basically, the story sees the Rebellion trying to free their Captain Cassian Andor from Director Orson Krennic.

There’s a lot of humor, whether it’s breaking the fourth wall or attributing many LEGO terms back and forth characters: “Before he gets… dissembled”—get it?

That surprise “bigger spaceship” was probably the killer for me.

Similar to the previous installments, it features a number of upcoming toys as a sneak peek.  The Go Rogue series is a tie-in project, though the minds behind it are from superfans James DeJulio, Kevin Ulrich, and stop motion animators and directors Dan MacKenzie and Tucker Barrie.

Meanwhile, the non-LEGO version of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be out in theaters on Dec. 16.
