Voltron is back! Netflix and DreamWorks animation are reviving the '80's animated franchise back with Voltron: Leendary Defender, and a new trailer was just released today, giving us a look at its fresh animation style with nostalgic elements fans of the classic animated series love.
Voltron: Legendary Defender is being developed by executive producer Joaquim Dos Santos (The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender) and co-executive producer Lauren Montgomery. Hopefully, the series will get a new generation of fans.

Synopsis:
Five unsuspecting teenagers, transported from Earth into the middle of a sprawling intergalactic war, become pilots for five robotic lions in the battle to protect the universe from evil. Only through the true power of teamwork can they unite to form the mighty warrior known as Voltron.

Voltron: Legendary Defender is set to launch with an hour-long origin story titled The Rise of Voltron, and will be followed by 10 episodes. The series is set to premiere on June 10.
