Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts had very little nice things to say after CinemaSins came up with their Everything Wrong with Kong: Skull Island video, and now he’s hijacked the Honest Trailer from Screen Junkies to make fun of his own movie..

Check it out:

Get ready for a brand new version of pop-culture’s non-Donkey Kong, complete with WWE wrestling moves, jungle parkour skills, and the inexplicable ability to sneak up on you like a ninja… He’s a one hundred foot-tall ape! Why does no one see or hear him coming??

Vigt-Roberts was pretty passionate about his argument with CinemaSins, and you can see it clearly here in the video as well. However, you have to hand it to him, he also knows what’s wrong with his movie—like John Goodman mainly being an exposition character, and Toby Kebbel’s human role basically starring in his own movie.

Regardless, Kong: Skull Island was a huge success, and a lot of people are pumped to see more of this upcoming Monsterverse. As for now, the next film in line is Godzilla: King of Monsters, and it promises the return of Godzilla along with introductions to King Ghidora, Mothra, and Rodan.

We may have to wait till 2020 to see King Kong battle Godzilla, but the giant kaiju returns in Godzilla: King of Monsters which comes out March 22, 2019.
