Did This Duracell Commercial Just Reveal A Massive Spoiler From Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

Warning: Possible Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers ahead.

You've been warned.

Duracell's new Star Wars commercial called Battle for Christmas Morning may have revealed a huge spoiler, and if their "trusted everywhere" tagline holds true to what's depicted below, then the new character Rey (Daisy Ridley) is indeed Force-sensitive judging by this girl's costume and how it links to what we've heard before. So far, the marketing materials for The Force Awakens show us that Finn (John Boyega) is the new Jedi with Luke Skywalker's blue lightsaber.

If you've been closely following all of the rumors following all of the details, leaks, rumors, and merchandise for The Force Awakens, you won't find this surprising. Descriptions suggest that she's more than a scavenger in Jakku.

“The mission to take down the First Order is underway! After invading the Starkiller Base, one member of the Resistance has split from her group and found herself in a massive room full of First Order soldiers. Completely surrounded by Stormtroopers with blasters and Knights of Ren with lightsabers, she seems to be totally outnumbered. Unfortunately for her enemies, though, they’ve made a big mistake: it’s not about the strength of the weapon, but the strength of the warrior that wields it.”

That description sounds similar to the one depicted in the Duracell commercial. On top of that, we've also seen a Jedi symbol on Rey's card from the leaked The Force Awakens trading cards. And note that there are reasons why Rey and Finn's last names haven't been revealed. Here's what J.J. Abrams said about that:

“I will only say about that that it is completely intentional that their last names aren’t public record.”
