When Screen Junkies came up with their Honest Trailer for the first Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds was game enough to lend his voice for the trailer. Now with the Honest Trailer for the sequel, Deadpool returns once again to tear Honest Trailers a new one.
It’s worth noting that the Blu-Ray for Deadpool 2 comes out today, so Reynolds’ ‘appearance’ in this video can be considered nothing short of promotion. Though I thought the jokes were fun, I was still kind of expecting some commentary on the actual movie.
I guess we’ll just have to wait for the Everything Wrong with Deadpool 2 video from CinemaSins.
I do agree with the trailer about the things they said about the film before Reynolds took over. If anything, Deadpool 2 was just as good as the first one. It’s also funny how they sequel actually took the Passion of the Christ joke from the Deadpool Honest Trailer and actually put it in the movie.
With the BLu-Ray out, we should expect promotion for Deadpool 2 to start dying down. If anything, we should be getting an update on the X-Force film any minute—that is, if the Disney/Fox acquisition will still make that movie happen.
