Crash Bandicoot Crashes & Spins into Skylanders Imaginators in New Trailers

Crash Bandicoot is celebrating its 20th year anniversary as a franchise.

And Activision has already announced a perfect way to celebrate it. While the remaster trilogy is still months away until its launch in 2017, there is one other game where you can Crash, Dr. Neo Cortex, and Aku Aku.

Skylanders Imaginators is welcoming in the Crash cast. And in the new trailer, it’s a nice experience for long-time fans of the franchise. That’s because the creators have included 20 ways by which they have brought some form of homage to Crash’s history in gaming for the new Skylanders Imaginators Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands level.

There’s a counter if you want to check what you know. The Crash Dance is already a dead giveaway.

There’s one other trailer, this time featuring the talking wooden mask Aku Aku, who’s also coming to the game. It’s just a quick clip, but you can check out the slight changes they made to Aku-Aku’s design. Pretty nice for a refresh look.

While all of these is a great way to pay homage to Crash Bandicoot—and one of the games that I’ve ever played—a new Crash Bandicoot game would be even better. There have been no announcements so far, but if there is any way this can happen, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one rejoicing.

Skylanders Imaginators will be landing on the PS4, PS3, Xbox one, Xbox 360, and Wii U on Oct. 16.
