Aside from its political allegories featuring the constant push and pull between good and evil, the Star Wars franchise has always been a space opera centered on the Skywalker family. The original trilogy began with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) reaching for his destiny in a galaxy far, far away as he tries to atone for the sins of his father, Anakin/ Darth Vader, and balance the Force.
Now, as the sequel trilogy continues on with a new set of heroes and villains in The Last Jedi, Luke becomes a jaded version of himself. With the film set for release half a year from now, fans continue to itch to learn more about the man the Jedi became through his journey.
To celebrate the Star Wars 40th anniversary, YouTube channel Heroes Fan Productions has created a new video showcasing Luke’s story and journey across the franchise. Check it out down below:
Running for ten minutes, the video showcases Luke’s different experiences in his journey towards The Last Jedi. Spiked with dramatic music, the video gives a rather nostalgic and theatrical tone to all the different clips from the original and prequel trilogy meshed together. Despite its melodramatic tone, Heroes Fan Production’s Luke Skywalker tribute is definitely something that fans ought to check out before watching The Last Jedi.
