Check Out This Cool Fan-Made Trailer For Obi-Wan Kenobi Spinoff

Obi-Wan Kenobi might be getting his own spinoff, but with Lucasfilm busy working on Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Han Solo, it seems like it might take a while till we all get to hear more about what the studio has planned for the Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone.

Taking matters into his own hands, Star Wars YouTuberAlex Luthorhas decided to create his own fan-made trailer for the spin-off using clips taken from the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Rogue One, and oddly enough Ewan Mcgregor’s temptation of Christ movie, Last Days in the Desert.

Imagining the story taking place on Tattooine sometime between Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope, fans get to see Obi-Wan suffering from his guilt over Anakin Skywalker’s decision to turn to the Dark Side and the death of the young Jedi’s wife, Padme. However, Obi-Wan finds himself forced to get his act together after a woman whose daughter had been taken by Tusken raiders pleads for his help.

While Luthor’s trailer might be a far cry from what Lucasfilm might be preparing for fans, it’s interesting to imagine what might happen in the Obi-Wan standalone. Most of the Jedi Knight’s story has already been told in the Star Wars sequel trilogy and A New Hope, so it would make sense that the spinoff’s story would like somewhere between Star Wars: Episode III and IV.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff doesn’t have a release date just yet, but we’ll update everyone as soon as we get word.
