Yoda Trains Luke in New Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures

Empire Strikes Back has just celebrated its 40-year anniversary, and Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures has just released this full short covering Luke’s training with Yoda on Dagobah.

Luke Skywalker trains in the ways of the Jedi with Master Yoda, learning the power of the Force. Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Star Wars sequel film with an all-new animated take on the adventure.

The fun thing about the Galaxy of Adventures series is how it adds to the original scenes by making them more action-packed or fantastic. With this new short, we get to see Luke traverse more of Dagobah, and we get a look at new creatures and large, never-before-seen locations. With the limitations of a set and a puppet used for Yoda, it’s great how animation can really bring more things to life and add to the original sequence.

No doubt we’re going to get more of these ESB-based shorts down the line. I’m guessing we’re going to have a whole sequence with Cloud City with Han being frozen and probably an expanded look at the lightsaber fight between Luke and Vader.

Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures is a series of animated shorts celebrating the characters and stories of a galaxy far, far away, featuring a bright and colorful art style, exciting action, and insight into the saga's greatest themes!
