Watch This Is America/Star Wars Mash-Up: This Is The Falcon

HISHE’s take on Solo: A Star Wars Story teased a Star Wars mash-up with Donald Glover’s This is America music video, and now they’ve released a full version with completed lyrics called This is the Falcon.

Just for comparison, here’s the original This is America:

I’ll admit, the lyrics could have used a bit more brushing up, but the fact that the full version was made out of a small joke in a video is still amazing. It’s also kind of a fun reminder that Donald Glover worked on Star Warsand made something like This is America. Besides his animated Deadpool show getting canceled, he’s been hitting a lot of home runs this year.

Though Solo: A Star Wars Story was considered to have underperformed in the box office, there’s no denying that a lot of people loved Glover’s performance as a young Lando Calrissian. Though we may not get a full anthology film starring Lando sometime in the future, I’m crossing my fingers that we get to see Glover make a return in one way or another.

We still need to know about what happened in the Battle of Taanab, whenever it takes place in the current timeline.

For now, we don’t know when exactly we’re going to get another Star Wars anthology film, as Lucasfilm is currently focusing on the release of Star Wars Episode IX. Not to mention they’re also working on a series created by Jon Favreau called The Mandalorian.

Either way, Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to next year.
