Watch: The Death Stranding Trailer If It was a PS1 Game

After years of waiting, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding is finally coming out later this year. The game has been visually striking since it was announced back in E3 2016, and now Hoolopee on Youtube has released this fun video of the trailer of Death Stranding, but with PS1 graphics.

Check it out:

What’s funny is how much it harkens back to the look of Metal Gear Solid. If you recall, Kojima had made a name for himself with the Metal Gear Solid games. Death Stranding will be his first title under his own studio apart from Konami.

For now, no one can really put a handle on what Death Stranding is really about—but I guess that adds to the intrigue of the game. We know that the main character Sam will be modeled after Norman Reedus, and he acts as some kind of delivery man in a post-apocalyptic world. We don’t really know what the strange creatures in the game do, but they seem to be able to alter time in some way.

I can’t say anything about why Sam has to strap himself to a baby.

Besides Reedus, the game also has a star-studded cast which includes the likes of Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, and Troy Baker. There’s even a character modeled after famous director Guillermo del Toro.

Catch Death Stranding when it exclusively hits PS4 on Nov. 8.
