Nick Releases Uncut Version of Aang vs. Ozai from The Last Airbender

Very few television shows manage to stick the landing on the finale, but Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender manages to nail it. Though the fight between Aang and Phoenix King Ozai was split between episodes (and other scenes), Nickelodeon has decided to release an uncut version of the fight without cuts to Sokka and Toph in the airships or Zuko and Katara vs. Azula.

Check it out:

Nick also released the video with this description:

You've watched this battle hundreds of times, but now watch the full uncut version of Aang vs. Fire Lord Ozai! See the epic final battle in its entirety from the finale of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Even after all these years, the fight is still an amazing sequence, and it feels like the culmination of three seasons of us just watching Aang grow. While he stands up against Ozai fine on his own, the bit where Aang channels the Avatar State and kicks Ozai’s ass will always send chills down every fan’s spine.

For now, Netflix has teamed up with show creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko to try one more jab at a live-action The Last Airbender. We don’t know how far the status of the show is, but counting the global epidemic, we could be getting another significant delay. Personally, I would have preferred if the show just followed the Avatar after Korra and told its own story, but that’s just one guy’s opinion.

No release date has been set for the live-action series, but you can catch the original Avatar: The Last Airbender on Nickelodeon.
