Watch Mark Hamill Break Down His Voice Acting Career from Joker to Chucky

Besides playing Luke Skywalker for Star Wars, Mark Hamill is probably best known for his voice acting career voicing the likes of Joker for Batman the Animated Series and Firelord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Now Hamill is providing the voice of Chucky in the Child’s Play reboot, and he sits down with Rotten Tomatoes to do a small breakdown of his most famous voice roles.

The character he goes really in-depth with is the Joker, but I guess it’s understandable seeing that it’s one of his most iconic roles. I do love how he talks about the Last Airbender though, and he says that he thought that it was too smart to be a series for kids.

Hamill also offers some interesting insight to dubbing for foreign films, and it’s different since he has to match the syllables of his dialogue with the lip movements this time around.

Of course, Hamill has a bunch of other voice roles under his belt, but I guess the video only wanted to take a close look at his most memorable ones. Though I’m sure he loves doing voice acting, I’m kind of hoping that he enters this new renaissance of onscreen work. I thought he was amazing in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of Hamill in The Rise of Skywalker—maybe in some other movies.

Catch Hamill in the Child’s Play reboot which comes out June 21.
