Star Wars Battlefront II is promising to give us some Rise of Skywalker content as the year draws to a close, but we don’t know really what’s in store for the game. Some are expecting some new skins for characters, and there’s this amazing mod from SiRME that turns Darth Maul into Dark Rey.

Check it out:

While it would have been cool enough to just get Rey in a hood wielding a dual lightsaber, the mod also goes into great detail to emulate the unstable lightsaber beam that’s identical to the one Kylo has. When the mod plays, it also uses Rey’s voice lines.

Going back to the film though, a lot of people are sure that “Dark Rey” is part of a vision. Even so, a lot of people are hoping to see her in action in some way. If Luke was able to have a lightsaber battle with “Swamp Vader” then hopefully we get something more intricate with Rey and her vision.

Personally, what I would love is a “Light” vision for Kylo Ren where he confronts Jedi Ben Solo. I mean, if the movie is going to give us a dark version of Rey, they should very well do the same for our boy Ben.

We don’t know when the TROS materials drop for Star Wars Battlefront II, but hopefully we get them before the movie hits theaters.  Personally, I think a November drop could be plausible, but if Lucasfilm really wants to keep things under wraps, the patch will have to come after Dec. 20.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
