What’s funny is, the video has also caught the attention of director Brad Bird, and he comments, “My God! He should hire himself out as a “walkaround” character for Disneyland Paris!”
With Pixar stumbling with the release of Onward, Ratatouille still manages to be one of the golden standards for Pixar’s standalone films. Sure the studio has been focusing mostly on original films now, but for a good long while we were subject to sequels and prequels like Monsters University, Finding Dory, and Toy Story 4.
Sure Onward was perfect, but I have to applaud the studio for trying something new. Admittedly I thought there were some character issues, particularly with the lack of spotlight on Chris Pratt’s Barley, but overall it was still a heart-filled film that showcased the importance of brotherhood.
Two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot go on a journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.
Disney Pixar’s Onward is now available for Video on Demand.
