If you haven’t been following Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures on Youtube, I suggest you check out their mini webisodes. They basically take classic scenes from the Star Wars films and redo them with an anime twist. This latest video has Luke fighting Jabba’s Rancor.

Check it out:

When Luke Skywalker faces a huge rancor, he must improvise to survive!

Admittedly this is a great improvement when it comes to the original scene. If you’ve watched Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, the VFX for the Rancor didn’t actually age too well, and it’s nothing that the special editions have managed to fix. With GOA, we get a modernized version of the fight, and we have Luke being slick and the Rancor looking extra savage. I just kind of wish they included the caretaker guy crying in the short.

While most Galaxy of Adventures episodes focus on scenes from the original trilogy, we’ve got some coverage for the prequels and recently Solo as well. We don’t know why we haven’t been getting any sequel trilogy content, but my guess is that they’re waiting for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to draw nearer so the series can help build on the hype.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out Dec. 20.
