Star Wars Celebration took place last weekend and we got a lot of amazing reveals including the teaser for The Rise of Skywalker and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Though everyone is waiting on Lucasfilm to come out and release The Mandalorian trailer online, they’ve published this video recapping the events of SWCC 2019 itself.

Check it out:

While trailers and teasers are nice, the live coverage of Celebration could only cover so much. Did you know Kelly Marie Tran got a standing ovation during the Episode IX panel? What about the resounding applause when they brought in Jar Jar actor Ahmed Best to the Star Wars Show?

For now, it seems that Celebration was another huge success for Lucasfilm. Admittedly I thought it didn’t live up to the Celebration from 2017, but I guess that event was special seeing that Star Wars was celebrating 40 years. The event brought in so many guests from Harrison Ford to even George Lucas himself.

As for the next Celebration, it’s been announced that it will take place in 2020 and will return to Anaheim, California. We don’t have a final date yet, but it’s likely that the con will happen in April, just like it’s been doing since 2015. Hopefully, by then we’ll get the first look at Rian Johnson’s new trilogy or maybe even the rumored Old Republic series from Game of Thrones’ David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters Dec. 2020.
