Honest Trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story

Solo: A Star Wars Story had just hit Blu-Ray and Screen Junkies has now released their Honest Trailer for the movie. If anything, it pretty much plays out like the How it Should Have Ended video that also came out on the same day.

You loved the original trilogy with a burning passion, you went to war over The Last Jedi, now get ready for a completely new kind of Star Wars movie, one you’ll forget by the time you’re home from the theater.

As someone who actually liked the movie, I get kind of irritated whenever someone says that ‘nobody asked for this movie,’ but the trailer does have some valid points when it comes to Lucasfilm’s spinoffs. Sure Rogue One was great, but they had to reshoot a lot of the movie since they weren’t pleased with what Gareth Edwards did. The same pretty much happened for Solo, but this time around, Phil Lord and Chris Miller were outright fired. Moving forward, Lucasfilm is said to be more trusting of established directors now as compared to hiring industry newcomers.

As for the rest of the trailer, they go on to gripe about the film being the origin of Han’s accessories. It’s just weird considering that this is an origin movie, so it would make sense that we would see how Han got signature items like his blaster and ship. We didn’t get an explanation for how he got his signature vest because it’s not as important as the rest of Han’s gear.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now available for digital and Blu-Ray.
