Finn and Poe are Definitely a Couple in New Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures Episode

Star Wars Kids has a new season of Galaxy of Adventures on Youtube, and we have a new shot focused on the unlikely friendship between Poe Dameron and Finn. What’s interesting is, it kind of seems like the short is implying that the two are a couple here.

Check it out:

A Resistance pilot in need of a rescue. A stormtrooper looking to escape the First Order. This is the story of how Poe met Finn.

While you could say there isn’t anything overtly implying that the two are gay, there’s a kind of misty expression on Poe when he tells Finn to keep his jacket.

Though Poe and Finn never really come together by the end of the Sequel Trilogy, there were plans said to be in place, but Disney didn’t allow for them to push through. Oscar Isaac has been adamant that he wanted Finn and Poe to be officially gay in the series, and word had it that J.J. Abrams was originally planning for the two to be an official couple in his original cut of TROS.

Even when you watch The Rise of Skywalker, you can feel that there’s some kind of couple dynamic between Finn and Poe, with Poe acting jealous of Finn’s mystery-reveal to Rey, and Finn being sassy when Rey asks about Poe’s ‘bad mood’ during the start of the film.

While it’s likely we won’t see these characters again for a long time, I’m hoping that Disney finds a way to bring Finn, Rey, and Poe back because there’s just so much more potential for stories in the era.

For now, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is gearing up for a release on Disney+ on May 4.
