A lot of hype was building up to the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom this year, but the movie ultimately turned out to be a disappointment. Now Screen Junkies has posted up their take on the film via their signature Honest Trailer series.
Just when you thought the Jurassic franchise couldn’t get any dumber, a sequel will show anyone who’s still clinging to the corpse of the original, “YOU. AIN’T. SEEN. STUPID. YET.”
I’ll admit, I didn’t really think the movie was as terrible as some people make it out to be. Sure they recycled a lot of formulas from previous movies, but I think it’s kind of interesting that the film ends with dinosaurs on the loose making the planet a literal Jurassic World.
I’m not even bummed out that Jeff Goldblum only gets so little screen time in the film. Having him on the adventure with Owen and Claire wouldn’t make sense, but having him bookend the film by discussing the entire theme of the film feels fitting for a character like Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Despite the reactions, Universal is still pushing forward with their third Jurassic World film with Colin Trevorrow returning to the helm. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are set to return, but there have been rumors going around that Laura Dern or Sam Neill could make a comeback to the Jurassic franchise.
