Bumblebee: Watch the Full Battle of Cybertron Scene

Bumblebee was a huge hit for Paramount, and the film opened with an absolutely bonkers war scene on the planet of Cybertron. The clip has actually been released online, and you can check it out here:

With the Michael Bay Transformers usually being trashed by fans of the original G1 Transformers, a lot of people have come to appreciate Bumblebee’s aim to keep to the 80s aesthetic. People have been able to point out classic characters like Ratchet and Arcee. Soundwave even sounds just like he did in the original cartoon.

After checking out the opening sequence, I kind of wish that we actually had a Transformers movie that was set entirely in Cybertron. While some may argue that the movie needs a human character for the audience to identify with, I think the Autobots and Decepticons have enough personality to get everyone grounded to the film.

A Bumblebee sequel is said to already be in the works and there’s also talks of an animated movie coming our way. After the success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, I wouldn’t be object to animated spinoffs of famous franchises. Heck, this Cybertron movie idea could be the perfect medium for the animated movie.

On the run in the year of 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.

Bumblebee is now in theaters.
