Black Panther is one of the most successful Marvel films of all time, and with the movie hitting digital, Screen Junkies has come out with their Honest Trailer.
Just when you thought Chadwick Boseman called dibs on every black icon, he’s suiting up as Black Panther, a superhero with the high-tech suit of Iron Man, the all-natural steroids of Captain America, and the invisible jet of Wonder Woman; but one thing sets him apart from all the other MCU heroes—not cause he’s black; not cause he’s royalty; nope. It’s cause this Marvel hero JUST. WON’T. QUIP.
While Black Panther does a lot of things right, the trailer also points out how exceptional the villains in the movie are. Andy Serkis absolutely shines as Ulysses Klaue, and the main villain Killmonger actually wins the moral argument and changes T’Challa’s mind about Wakanda.
Since this is also an Honest Trailer, it also points out the underdeveloped story between Okoye and W’kabi, the terrible CGI, and the forgettable slugfest in the third act of the film. No movie is perfect.
