Avengers: Endgame Honest Trailer Pokes Fun at the End of Marvel Phase 3

Avengers: Endgame has finally hit digital and everyone is celebrating one of the biggest cinematic events in history. Just in, Screen Junkies has released their Honest Trailer take on the highest-grossing movie of all time.

The most successful crowd-pleasing global film is back, but since life on Earth sucks now, it’s all about grief, loss, guilt, depression, and despair; because today’s escapist fantasy isn’t becoming a superhero, it’s going back to fix your mistakes instead of scraping by in the waking nightmare of your own failure.

The trailer also pokes fun at how the time travel science is constantly explained in the movie, but even now, it’s still kind of confusing to follow. At best, we should just sit down and not worry about it. After all, it still doesn’t ruin the ride of marvelous setpieces and gut-wrenching moments.

Though this seems like a definitive end for Marvel Phase 3, there is a lot of set-up for the upcoming Phase 4. We have the passing of the torch of Captain America to Sam Wilson, and we also have what looks to be the set-up of the Loki series for Disney+. There’s probably a lot of hints at other upcoming Phase 4 shows as well, but I guess we won’t know until those films come out.

For now, everyone is waiting for one last big Marvel panel at the D23 Expo which takes place later this month. We don’t really know what the studio is going to reveal, but we imagine it’s going to cover a lot more of Phase 4 and possibly some of Phase 5.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on digital and hits Blu-Ray/DVD on Aug. 13.
