BTS Look at the Making of Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs

One of the most anticipated movies set to come out this month is Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs, which focuses on an alternate future where dogs have been exiled to live away from human society. Fox Searchlight has just released this new BTS featurette focusing on the making of the film.

Check it out:

Here’s the official description of the film:

ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

With most animation relying on computer-generated images, it’s interesting that Anderson is still finding ways to make traditional stop motion relevant. Add to that his quirky theatrical directing style, and you have one of the most anticipated movies of 2018.

With blockbusters like Pacific Rim Uprising, Tomb Raider, and Ready Player One coming out this month, Anderson’s latest movie is sure to be a small break from the action-heavy films in theaters.

Isle of Dogs comes out March 23.
