The Only Tabletop Game Accessory You Need This Year – The Component Collector

Tabletop game enthusiasts have a lot to be excited for in this new handcrafted product by the lumberjacks at Dog Might Games. The Component Collector is a set of wooden trays (called tiles) that can hold tokens, dice, cards, and any other widgets that come with your game of choice. It also includes a tray to roll dice in. Instead of using the flimsy plastic box insert that board games provide for tokens, the Component Collector offers a premium quality, durable, and easily transported series of trays to meet your board game needs.

The design of the Component Collector is pretty ingenious. It comes with one big die rolling tray and 8 smaller tiles that fit perfectly inside the dice rolling tray. You also get a finished cow leather strap that wraps around it and keeps it secure when traveling. Each tile has a magnet on every side (except for the dice tray, which has two). This lets you snap the trays together so they don’t move. You can put them into any configuration you want, and they won’t wobble or get tossed around during your game. The dice tray component has leather over the bottom, which provides a smooth rolling experience.

There are 18 different tile styles, and you can choose any 8 when ordering your Component Collector. They come in a variety of woodgrains; such as African Mahogany, Padauk, Leopardwood, Bocote, Cherry, Ziricote, Bolivian Rosewood, Wenge, Canarywood, Chechen, Black Walnut, Red Oak, and more!

After trying the Component Collector out with a few of my favorite games (lots of Takenoko!), I found it to be incredibly useful. Not only do the tiles look amazing, they are very convenient for gameplay. It is perfect to give everyone a way to have easy access to tokens, without having to reach over to a bulky game box or leave pieces loose on the table. If you are a tabletop gamer and only buy one gaming accessory this year, it should be the Component Collector!

The Component Collector started on Kickstarterwith an entry price of $44. You can view more awesome products by Dog Might Games at their website here.
