The Defenders Look Ready for Action

It looks like the unlikely heroes that make up The Defenders are ready for action.

Just a single look at their assembled image via Empire is enough to show just how serious they are—and the action that probably comes with the territory.

Maybe it's the dark-colored outfits or the collectively sullen and ready-to-brawl looks on each and every Defender's face. But the new image works so well, that even if there's no uniform, there's a cohesive feel to the team.

Funnily enough, Daredevil actor Charlie Cox did state that the feel at the start of the show will be a little odd, almost clashing given the different tone and even approach of each of the series:

"I was concerned about how you could combine these worlds. Tonally they feel so different. But it feels like all the characters have been respected, and the show has a tone of its own. [They've] kept it grounded, but at the same time, it lives in a slightly mythical world."

However, Mike Colter, who plays Luke Cage, had a great comparison for the progress that the heroes experience throughout the series: that is, the same as what happens in The Hangover.

The Defenders will arrive on Netflix on Aug. 18. It stars Colter, Cox, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, and Finn Jones as Danny Rand.

Synopsis:
