Zack Snyder To Get Less Control Of The DCEU Moving Forward

Zack Snyder was originally supposed to be the mastermind behind the entire DCEU and he was to play a pivotal role in bringing everyone's favorite DC characters to life onscreen. With him exiting the Justice League project (and a few other issues), it's said that Snyder will now be taking a backseat with the DCEU moving forward.

Mashable writes:

"The Snyders will no longer have anything like the level of creative influence that got the franchise to this point."

Before Snyder's exit, it was him and his wife Deborah who were handling the entire DC movie franchise. Now it looks like DC Entertainment head Geoff Johns and Joss Whedon will be serving as the "architects" of the DCEU.

Fans of Snyder shouldn't worry though, as him and his wife "remain an important art of the Warner Bros. family." Both of them are still attached to several upcoming DC films, and Snyder may be wanting to direct another movie of his own when the time is right. Personally, I hope he pushes forward with his adaptation of Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead. I really liked that book.

Though BvS and Man of Steel weren't met with the best critical reception, I absolutely loved what Snyder attempted to bring to the superhero genre. Sure Marvel films are fun, but Batman v Superman was chockfull of interesting philosophy and symbolism that the MCU has yet to compare to. Snyder just sort of fell flat with execution.

Justice League comes out Nov. 17.
