Zack Snyder Gives Details On Batman V Superman 'Knightmare' Scene

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was a mess but it did have plenty of interesting plot threads that could have been explored better. Fans were hoping to see these resolved in Justice League but that wasn't the case and we ended up with the lowest-grossing DCEU film.

While fans have mixed opinions on Joss Whedon's version of Justice League, Zack Snyder has decided to discuss the most intriguing BvS sequence that was supposed to appear in Justice League 2: the Knightmare.

This was the vision where Batman was surrounded by Para-Demons, before being arrested by a regime controlled by Superman. A much angrier version of the Man of Steel unmasks Batman and implies the death of Lois Lane, before seemingly killing his former ally. Bruce is then awakened by Barry Allen from the future, who tells him Lois Lane "is the key," or something along those lines.

On Vero True Social, Snyder revealed how this Injustice-like version of Superman came to be. Apparently, the death of Lois would have made Superman more susceptible to the Anti-Life Equation. This means he was under the control of Darkseid during the Knightmare sequence, hence the Para-Demons.

This revelation probably has fans salivating since it would have made Justice League and its sequel much more interesting. As it stands, we still don't know if a sequel to the superhero ensemble is happening.
