Yellow Jacket Won’t Be Making A Surprise Return In Ant-Man And The Wasp

Corey Stoll's Yellow Jacket might have been an interesting villain for Paul Rudd's Scot Lang in the first Ant-Man but it looks like Daren Cross won't be making any surprise appearances in the film's sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Sure Yellowjacket might have seemingly kicked the bucket in the first Ant-Man standalone movie, comic book movies usually have the habit of bringing characters back to life and some wondered whether Darren Cross could make his way back to the big screen for Ant-Manand the Wasp.

Unfortunately, it seems like the character wasn't even in the film's script. Visiting the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp, Screen Rant got to speak with Ivo Coveney, the film's specialty costumes supervisor. According to the Coveney, there won't be any Yellow Jacket in the Ant-Man sequel.

"In the script that I've seen him, he's not in our film. I don't know whether we see him again at any point," the costumes supervisor told the publication.

Sure Ant-Man established that people could return from the Quantum Realm, it's hard to imagine that Cross managed to survive his fight with Ant-Man. It's time that Scott, together with Hope, face a new enemy. This time it's going to be Ghost, a mysterious villain capable of playing around with the quantum realm.

We can't wait to see what Marvel has in store for us in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Who knows, we might get some sort of hint at how the Avengers turn back time in Avengers 4.

Ant-Man and the Wasp premieres on July 6, 2018.
