X-Men: Dark Phoenix Enlists Academy Award-Winning Cinematographer

While New Mutants and Deadpool 2 continue to pick up steam, very little has been revealed about X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The film recently finished filming so a trailer could be out soon, but aside from that, story details for the movie are still pretty vague. One thing we do know is that the film could be shot well since Mauro Fiore has been confirmed as the cinematographer.

Fiore's involvement was revealed when a clapper of the film was shared on Twitter. Prior to this, he worked on the Academy Award-winning Avatar with director James Cameron so the film is in good hands. The cinematographer has also worked on Training Day, Real Steel,The Equalizer, and The Magnificent Seven.

It will be interesting to see how the film does with Fiore's involvement since this is also the first time Simon Kinberg will be directing a movie. Kinberg did write the previous X-Men movies, so he is definitely a vital part of the X-Men cinematic universe. Here is hoping that the director can do a Quicksilver scene as well as Bryan Singer.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix hits theaters on November 2. Most of the actors from X-Men: Apocalypse will be reprising their roles.
