X-Men: Apocalypse’s Psylocke Has No ‘Problem Killing,’ Says Olivia Munn

The latest X-Men: Apocalypse trailer has just been released and it looks like the X-Men are about to face their most formidable opponent yet. But aside from Apocalypse, the X-Men are also facing off against his "Four Horsemen."

It looks like one of them, Olivia Munn's Psylocke, is as sinister as the first mutant on Earth himself.

In an interview with CNET, the 35-year-old actress more details more about the mutant Psylocke that proves how her character might have an advantage over the X-Men:

You see a lot of superheroes [who] don't always want to kill, and they'll avoid it if they can. She's never had a problem killing, and I like that she was the bad guy that had no problem being the bad guy.

Munn adds how she thinks this trait about her character is badass:

She's telekinetic and telepathic so she can read your mind. She can create anything with her mind. To win any fights, she can just create a mountain and have it fall down on you, but she chooses to create a sword so she can kill up close and personal. I always thought that was really cool and badass.

Munn's Psylocke depicts Fox's take on killing in current comic book movies. While Marvel and DC films have made killing an act that creates conflict in the minds of their characters, Fox has no qualms showing characters like Deadpool and the X-Men universe willing to take life in order to win.

In my opinion, all characters in comic book films are badass and cool. It's why they're placed on the big screen in the first place. Nevertheless, it's good to see that there's variety in comic book movies and their characters.

Seeing a murderous Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse will no doubt create a greater challenge for the X-Men, and I expect the movie to be that much more entertaining because of it. I can't wait to see the film and the final battle between Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen, and the X-Men.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
