Woody Harrelson Confirms That He’ll Be In The Venom Movie

Woody Harrelson might not want to give out too many details about his role in Venom, but at least the Solo: A Star Wars actor confirms that he's going to be in the film.

Speaking in an interview with Collider to help promote the home release of one of his recent films, Lost in London, Harrelson opened up a little bit about why he joined the cast of Venom and his involvement in the Spider-Man spinoff.

Why did Harrelson sign on to Venom? Harrelson had two quick answers: he was there because of Tom Hardy and Ruben Fleisher.

"Well, you know, Ruben Fleischer did Zombieland, directed it, so that was a big part of it," Harrelson explained. "And also, Tom Hardy, I really respect and think he's one of the great actors. So that, coupled with what is a really wonderful script, I felt like I kind of should, you know?"

Though the Star Wars actor tries his best to keep his lips shut when it comes to rumors that he's playing Carnage in Venom, Harrelson does reveal that he's going to appear for "a little fraction" of the movie, expecting that he'll return for a bigger role in Venom's sequel.

From the looks of it, Harrelson may have a quick cameo in the film, an important cameo that might help further establish a sequel for Venom. Could this mean that Harrelson's playing another villain? Could this prove that he's actually playing Carnage?

We'll have to wait and see.

Venom hits cinemas October 5, 2018.
