Wonder Woman’s Lack of Advertising Compared To BvS And Suicide Squad Has Fans Worrying

It's been quite some time since Warner Bros. released new previews for Wonder Woman after rolling out that epic origin trailer last month, and though the studio's been doing offering a few promotional tidbits for its Wonder Wednesday campaigns the stillness of the film's marketing has gotten a few fans worried for the superhero movie.

SyfyWire has recently been expressing concern over the lack of the marketing for the Gal Gadot's first feature film in DC, pointing out that while Batman vs. Superman had a steady stream of advertising five weeks out before its release date, Wonder Woman has only had three trailers released. Even Suicide Squad's video marketing has beaten Wonder Woman's current video count with the official number of trailers and ads for the spinoff coming up to 30.

Current news searches on the upcoming DC superhero movie also come up weak with news reports simply discussing Gal Gadot's pregnant state during her reshoots.

While it is possible that Warner Bros. is still working on a massive marketing campaign for the film as it approaches its release date (earlier this week reports revealed that there was a "Greeting Trailer" scheduled to release today) , this current silence from the studio is definitely alarming fans. Warner Bros. has always pushed its marketing campaigns for the DC Expanded Universe to new heights – many will probably remember how high the hype was for Batman vs. Superman and Suicide Squad last year. Let's hope things change for Wonder Woman soon.

Wonder Woman is scheduled to premiere on June 2, 2017.
