Wonder Woman Director Included In TIME’s Poll For Its Person Of The Year


It looks like TIME magazine is considering Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins as their "Person of the Year."

The filmmaker achieved a lot this year with. Not only did her DC Extended Universe entry Wonder Woman become one of the leggies female-led superhero movies of all time, it also became the most successful female-directed live-action movie of all time. Raking in a total of $821.8 million at the box office, Wonder Woman beat Mama Mia! And its $609.8 million earnings.

TIME has started a reader poll for its Person of the Year, and Jenkin's name is on the list along with politicians, celebrities and artists like Hillary Clinton, President Donald Trump, Vladmire Putin, Maxine Waters, Emma Stone, Jimmy Kimmel and Margaret Atwood. So far Jenkins name lies with the 1 percenters like Emma Stone and Susan Fowler, though it is possible that the numbers could change in time. After all, the poll does close next week on December 4.

Right now the poll results are being lead by Mohammed bin Salman, the crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, which isn't a surprise considering the news surrounding the Prince this year. Still, having Jenkins' name included in the poll is an honor itself, don't you think?
