Cheetah will reportedly be the villain for next year's Wonder Woman 2 and Warner Bros. is planning to get a big, if somewhat unexpected, star to play the character. Deadline reports that Saturday Night Live alumni Kristen Wiig is in talks to portray the classic Wonder Woman villain, which is a fairly interesting choice.
The Bridesmaids star has proven to be a capable actress in the past, though this will be the first time she will be portraying a villain in a film. While her characters have been vindictive and petty in the past, being the main antagonist is going to be new territory for Wiig.
Of all Wonder Woman's villains, Cheetah is arguably the most popular, which isn't saying much to some. The villainess has appeared in the Justice League animated series and was a playable character in Injustice 2. She was also a major character in Greg Rucka's Wonder Woman run for DC Rebirth.
Wonder Woman 2 comes out Nov. 1, 2019.
