In a move many fans will find interesting, Heart of Dixie's Wilson Bethel has been cast for a ‘pivotal' role in Daredevil season three. This character is an FBI will supposedly play a critical role in the conflict between Daredevil and his season one nemesis Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin. Only time will tell how important this character is, though fans are speculating that it will be Spider-Man villain Sin-Eater.
The news was broken by Variety, revealing that this pivotal character is an FBI agent that will be important in this new season. Aside from that, details on the character are being kept under wraps, so fans will have to speculate until the first trailer for the Netflix series drops. The previous season has given us Punisher and Elektra as important side characters, so this mysterious character has a lot to live up to.
Rumor has it that the character will be Sin-Eater and the storyline will be based on Frank Miller's acclaimed Born Again storyline. This is the story where Kingpin found out that Daredevil was Matt Murdock and made his life a living hell. A madman also dressed up as Daredevil and killed a lot of people in that arc, so Sin-Eater could easily replace that character. Daredevil himself will be waking up to the sight of his long-lost mother at the start of season three, a huge plot point in Born Again.
Daredevil season three is still in production. Fans can expect the series to air on Netflix sometime in 2018.
