Will Beast Appear in X-Men: Supernova?

Nicholas Hoult, who played the young Hank McCoy aka Beast in X-Men: Days of Future Past, hints that he might appear in the upcoming X-Men: Supernova movie. Not much is known about this new film, although there had been buzz that it might finally tackle the Phoenix saga with the galactic grandeur it deserves.

Hoult and Felicity Jones, his co-star in the thriller Collide, were interviewed by Hey U Guys when the question about his involvement in X-Men: Supernova was asked. Hoult let slip there was some participation, but did not go into details:

"I think I'm involved. I'd be happy to go back – I love playing that character and I love everyone involved and I know there's one in the works…"

Saying that he has impressions that he might be involved is cryptic, but it can also hint that the powers-to-be had reached out to him. Hoult's Beast is one of the pillars of strength in the rebooted X-Men Universe, a friend as well as an adviser to Charles Xavier. James McAvoy has also teased his appearance in the movie. Sophie Turner has confirmed that she will reprise her role as Jean Grey.

A reunion would be awesome and we can expect more announcements of former X-Men coming back to help the cause as the day of release draws near.

Meanwhile, check the clip below. It's Hoult's interview, with Jones beside him, about his possible return to the X-Men universe.

X-Men: Supernova, reportedly directed by Simon Kinberg and starring Sophie Turner, will be released in the cinemas in 2018.
