I am Gareth Edwards, director of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Ask me anything!

.

As it turns out, Edwards had a cameo towards the very end of the film. After the rebels were able to seal the ship after Vader's hallway massacre, Edwards is the rebel who pulls the lever after the one guy screams, "LAUNCH!"

Other cameos in the film include Warwick Davis, who plays one of Saw Gerrera's militia members, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, who played one of the operators on the Death Star. Character cameos also include Chopper from Star Wars Rebels, and the mercenaries Evazan and Ponda Baba on Jedha.

Rogue One was one huge hit for Lucasfilm, and I wouldn't be lying if I said that I wanted Gareth Edwards to come back and direct another Star Wars movie. He's expressed an interest in directing a spin-off with either Galen and Krennic or Baze and Chirutt, but since Disney already has a batch of films set for the next decade, Edwards will just have to wait and see.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story comes out in Digital HD on March 24 and Blu-Ray/DVD on April 4.
