The release of Black Panther has led to a lot of reflection on who else was a black superhero, and everyone remembers that Wesley Snipes' Blade was a thing back in the 90s. Now people (including Mark Millar) are looking for a reboot of the Blade franchise, and Boss Logic has come up with this mock-up of John Boyega as the titular vampire hunter.

Though a lot of people may know Boyega as the bumbling Finn in Star Wars, he's already proven that he could play serious characters in films like Detroit and Attack the Block. I'd actually look forward to him playing Blade in a Marvel reboot, but I have a feeling that he could be too young for the part.
So far we don't know where exactly Blade would fit in the MCU. Sure Marvel has a lot of branches with Marvel Cosmic and Marvel Mystic, but Blade just seems to be too violent of a genre for the kid-friendly Marvel Studios. He might fit in with Marvel Netflix, but there's news that Disney has put an end to loaning out characters to other studios.
Hopefully they find something to do with the character. Avengers 4 will be marking an end of an era for Marvel, and Phase 4 is just open wide to introduce someone like Blade. Heck, maybe Daredevil can finally get his own movie.
No announcement has been made for a Blade reboot.
