Lucasfilm filed for the title Star Wars: Resistance but it could be for a variety of things. The licensing could be for toys, comic books, video games, and so much more. Considering how Star Wars has impacted so many forms of media, Resistance could be anything Lucasfilm and Disney want it to be.
Fans seem insistent that it will be a television show since Disney and Lucasfilm have promised a new serial for the franchise. Considering how popular shows like Rebels and Clone Wars have been, this wouldn't be a bad move at all.
