Westworld’s Evan Rachel Wood Also Had No Idea What Was Happening In Season 2

Westworld fans weren't the only ones left confused after watching the second season of the series. It turns out, even Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood found the plot a bit too hard to keep up with, and she admits that she wasn't really sure what was going on.

Unlike season 1 which was showered with praise for its complexity and its drama, the season 2 of Westworld was criticized for being too difficult to follow. Though the show ran between two separate timelines and different locations like the first season of the series, many were left perplexed by the events unfolding because of the misdirection used in the second season's editing.

Going on an interview with Vulture, Evan decided to open up about her confusion surrounding season 2 of the series after she was told by the publication that her Westworld co-star Ed Harris also admitted that he had no idea what was going on.

"I had no idea what was happening in season two. At all. And we shot out of order, so most of the time — I mean, it was insane to be an actor on season two. I don't know how I feel about it. [Laughs.] But it was a ride. We stopped reading the call sheets. We would show up and Jeffrey and I would ask what episode we were in. It was kind of that level of — we just lived in the moment in whatever scene that we were doing, and that's how we made it."

Though actors and actresses are expected to have a good understanding of the different projects they sign on to, it seems like it pretty much isn't the case here. Based on Evan's response, it seems like Westworld Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan decided to keep the cast on their toes as well, just like the Russo Brothers did with their cast for Avengers: Infinity War.
